Accommodations:
We stayed in the connecting rooms on the third floor, which were well-suited to our group size. Here’s what we experienced:
- Space and Layout: The connecting rooms offered a good balance of privacy and togetherness, which was ideal for our group. While there are other spacious hotels in the area, Family Cube Hotel fit within our budget and provided the closeness we valued during our stay.
- Cleanliness and Comfort: The rooms were clean and modern, with comfortable beds that provided a restful sleep after busy days.
- Amenities: Basic amenities like free Wi-Fi were available. The rooms were functional, though not luxurious.
Extra Note: Although our group exceeded the room’s standard occupancy limit, the hotel accommodated us after a few requests without charging any additional fees. This flexibility was greatly appreciated and made our stay more comfortable.
We also arrived late at the hotel, around 10 PM, but had no issues checking in. We simply informed the hotel of our late arrival time, and everything was smoothly handled.

Facilities
For me the facilities are Essential and Basic. Family Cube Hotel offers essential facilities for a comfortable stay:
- Wi-Fi: Fast and reliable, which was useful for planning our daily activities.
- Housekeeping: Daily service kept our rooms neat and tidy.
- Staff: The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.
- Laundry: The hotel provides a coin-operated laundry facility. You need to pay separately for soap, washing, and drying. In my experience, the laundry took about 2.5 hours to complete, which may not be the most efficient option if you need a quick turnaround.
Note: The hotel doesn’t feature additional amenities such as a restaurant, pool, or gym, so it might not meet the needs of those seeking these extras.
To share my final thoughts
Family Cube Hotel provided a practical and budget-friendly option for our stay in Singapore. Its central location in Chinatown and comfortable connecting rooms made it a suitable choice for our family trip. Although there are other spacious hotels in the area, Family Cube Hotel was within our budget and allowed us to enjoy the togetherness we valued during our stay.
It’s important to note that this hotel is not designed for those seeking a luxury experience. Instead, it offers a no-frills, practical solution for families and groups who prioritize location and affordability over high-end amenities.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to capture photos of the hotel during our stay due to being too tired and just wanting to rest. However, I have found some photos online and on the hotel’s website that should give you a good sense of what to expect.

- Suitable for larger groups with connecting rooms
- Clean and modern rooms
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Flexible with occupancy limits, accommodating our larger group without extra fees
- Free water and coffee available
- Smooth late check-in process
Cons:
- Limited facilities (no on-site restaurant or pool)
- Coin-operated laundry facility available but inefficient, taking around 2.5 hours to complete
